Edificio de apartamentos – Miremont le cret

This block is on the outskirts of the town, and provides an accommodation that is intermediate between a conventional apartment and an individual house. The dynamic layout of its plan distribution and its orientation insures maximum sunlight and greatly enhances both its external and internal perspectives. The large balcony becomes, during the summer, an additional living space of great usefulness. To provide adequate privacy and protect them from being overlooked from other apartments, these have been fitted with a system of vertical «alumen» strips, 1.5 mm thick, supported in aluminium frames. Due to their positioning, they cut off lateral vision, enabling a clear view to be enjoyed of the landscape, but make it impossible to overlook one apartment from the others. The aesthetic effect of the various aluminium elements is one of lightness and distinction. The gentle contrasts of shade and light contribute a sense of plasticity which goes well with the general architectural conception of the building, whose originality stands out.<br><br>Se levanta en un barrio residencial de la periferia de la ciudad, y ofrece al inquilino un tipo de vida intermedio entre el apartamento corriente y la casa individual. La forma movida de su planta y orientación, les aseguran un soleamiento máximo, al mismo tiempo que mejoran sus vistas y perspectivas interiores y exteriores. La gran superficie de balcón lo convierte durante el verano en pieza suplementaria de gran utilidad. La sensación de a aislamiento, que exigía protección visual de unos apartamentos respecto a otros, ha, sido lograda adoptando un sistema de laminillas verticales hechas con chapas de «aluman», de espesor 1,5 mm, enmarcadas en bastidores de aluminio. Dada su posición, separan la vista lateralmente, permiten disfrutar del paisaje y, a la vez, impiden ver desde un apartamento lo que sucede en el del vecino. El efecto estético obtenido, con los diferentes elementos de aluminio, es de una gran ligereza y elegancia; los suaves contrastes de luz y sombra le confieren un carácter y una plasticidad muy bien integrados en el concepto arquitectónico de este conjunto, que destaca por su originalidad
