Purpose: This research aimed to study the status of communication skills of librarians and effective factors in this field. Method: A questionnaire was used in this survey for collecting data. Research population consisted of the librarians at the libraries of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. Findings: Findings showed that the most important factors in interpersonal communication from the point of views of librarians are firstly organizational and then environmental, personal and cultural factors. Also, there is no significant relationship between variables like "education" and "experience" with communication skills of librarians.
