The purpose of life is to illuminate and create the self. I did not always believe this. In fact, the Honors sequence was the catalyst for my interest and investment in the Individual. In this paper, I walk readers through my philosophical development and how I have applied my beliefs to my life. Informed, by Jean-Paul Sartre, Carl Jung, Henry David Thoreau, I present a meaningful and concise reflection on the self.
