'Conceptual Modeling and the Lexicon' investigates the linguistic aspects of conceptual modeling, concentrating on the terminology part. The author combines theoretical ideas and empirical facts from various scientific fields, such as cognitive psychology, computer science, lexicography, psycholinguistics, software engineering, phi-losophy, and linguistics, to develop a central Lexicon which should improve mutual communication between all the people who work on a new information system. A preliminary design of a Lexicon Management System and some actual implementations complete the work
