Monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A) in brain, sympathetic fibres, and neuroendocrine tissues can catalyze the oxidative deamination of serotonin, noradrenaline and adrenaline, and contributes, along with MAO-B,to the catabolism of brain dopamine.
