Pengaruh Motivasi terhadap Peningkatan Kompetensi Bidan Desa di Kabupaten Malang

Background: The aim of this study is to analyze influence of motivation toward increasing competency of village midwives. Methods: This research was done in Malang district, and the data is collected by interview and observation to village midwives on Malang district. The population of this study is 288 midwives. By using by WHO (World Health Organization) sample formula, midwives, seventy five (75) were taken as sample. Technique of data analysis uses descriptive analysis with cross tabulation and then continued with linear regression at the significant level = 0.05. From cross tabulation. Result: the result showed that the higher the motivation the higher the competence. From linear regression, the result showed that there was a significant influence of motivation toward competency. The study recommended that the distric health office should develop midwife\u27s training and set a placement standart operational procedure
