While composing a new play titled Theatron, I have been examining traditional Greek gender character types and tracing them through theatre ages. My play ends with a fusion of bits of Ibsens plays as a culmination of such character types. Ibsen plays with the strong and weak female and the strong and weak male trying to find characters in the right combinations who can find each other and come together to help evolve humanity. My paper will look at particular characters from Vikings at Helgeland as prototypes for those that emerge in Ibsens Prose Cycle, such as Nora and Hedda and Torvald and Eilert, to name a few. My paper will provide research intended to further develop the climax of my play
