In this chapter, which is really a bigger appendix, the authors report the osteological analysis of the animal bones from Hovdala medieval castle. They discuss the material in terms of diet, slaughter strategies and animal husbandry. Also the importance of fish as well as hunting big game during this period are two themes discussed in the text
