Bu tez çalışmasında dikdörtgen kesitli simetrik yapılı yarıiletken kuantum çukurlu lazerde normalize yayılma sabiti hesaplanmıştır. Normalize yayılma sabiti, normalize frekansın Ï /2'den küçük olduğu temel mod aralığında Matlab'ta hazırlanan pratik bir yazılım ile Newton-Raphson methodu kullanılarak hesaplanmış ve değerler liste halinde ekte verilmiştir. Dikdörtgen kesitli simetrik yarı iletken düzlemsel çift farklı yapılı lazerlerin elektronik ve optik özellikleri, değerlik ve iletim bandındaki taşıyıcıların enerji özdeğerleri ile ifade edilen elektrik alanının bazı parametrelerine ve kullanılan malzeme özelliklerine göre incelenmiştir.
