Die minimalen Kriechraten aus Zug- und Druckkriechversuchen, die an der kriechbeständigen Magnesiumdruckgusslegierung AE42 sowie an dem mit 20 Vol.-% Saffilfasern verstärkten AE42-basierten Verbundwerkstoff durchgeführt wurden, zeigten bei beiden Werkstoffen eine Anisotropie bezüglich ihrer Spannungsabhängigkeit. Während des Kriechens auftretende Verformungsmechanismen wurden mit Hilfe der ermittelten Spannungsexponenten und Aktivierungsenergien ermittelt.
