Abstract – The clutch as a friction mechanism is placed between the engine and the gear box and it transfers the torque from the driving to the driven part. It is expected from the clutch to have stabile working and ecological characteristics. The main reasons for the working life shortage of the clutch are the occurrence of sliding in the process of engagement / disengagement, overloading of the clutch and the number of engagements. In order to increase the working life of the clutch a big effort has been done to improve the quality of friction linings. Most of the factors which impacts on the quality of the linings is the graphite and soot of the lining. That is why the aim of the research is to determine the impact of the graphite and so...
