SUMMARY Management of public health The health of people is influenced by the people’s living and working environment, by the attitude towards their health and by availability of prophylactical and medical treatment services at the medical institutions. The aim of the study is to evaluate an attitude of the employees of the joint stock company “Žemaitijos pienas” towards prophylactical medical checkups and the accessibility to the health care services. The methodology of the research. An anonymous survey using questionnaire was carried out among the employees in April 2006. Both employees and administration participated in the survey. 250 questionnaires were distributed, out of which 238 were received back (the response rate of 95,2 perc). ...
