Magnetoplasmonics (MP) studies the effects arising from the interplay between plasmonic and magneto-optical (MO) phenomena typically occurring in metallic nanostructures. Plasmonic field enhancement allows for large MO activity while magnetic functionalities give access to independent control of plasmonic properties by tailoring intensity and direction of an external magnetic field
