The 1897 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at New Hope Baptist Church in Earl, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by A.C. Irvin. The Committee on Education reported that progress towards creating a Female University continues to be successful, and commends the efforts put forth by The Baptist High School of Cleveland Mills.
