The thesis deals with motivation as a tool that influences the performance. The first part discusses the issue of motivation in theoretical way and incudes concepts as human resources management, performance, efficiency, motivation, incentive program or frustration and stress. The theoretical part is based on the study of literature sources that deal with certain issues. Gained knowledge are subsequently transferred into practice and use in examining the motivation of specific group of employees in Hays Recruitment Agency, Czech Republic.
