During a short workshop the concept of 'quality' was presented and discussed from four different perspectives: a health care, a socio-cultural, a socio-psychological, and an environmental perspective. It was concluded that there still exists a major gap between theory (rather abstract) and practice (mainly data-driven). Furthermore it was considered important to maintain the distinction between the subjective (e.g. perceived environmental quality) and the objective (e.g. measurable, countable) features of the quality concept.
