Equations for flat or low land rivers, which are usually used for modelating with special computer programs, do not act well in steep (torriental) streams. In this kind of streams we have a complex behaviour, because it comes to a multistage stream flow and to a changing rough Manning coeffcient as a function of a flow or water level in the river. The correct determination of this coefficient is essential in hydraulic modeling. In my thesis I was trying to define the hydraulic conditions in the selected high-gradient steep stream Kuzlovec as much as possible.
