REAPPORTIONMENT. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. Amends the present state constitutional requirement that the boundary line of California Senatorial, Assembly, and Board of Equalization districts be reapportioned so that each type is reasonably equal based on the population of the district which is determined from national census data taken at the beginning of each decade. Instead, provides that reapportionment for such districts shall take place in the year following every other presidential election, commencing in 1989, and that districts shall be reasonably equal based on the number of registered voters within such districts.
