The relativistic random phase $approximation^{1}$ is used to determine ab initio values of the eigenchannel parameters for isolated closed shell atoms. As an application of these relativistic techniques we analyze the line-profiles, angular distributions and spin-polarization of photoelectrons within the Beutler-Fano $resonances^{2-4}$ for neon, argon, krypton, and xenon
