Background: Breast cancer is the most highly diagnosed cancer among women in the world, accounting for almost 1.7 million new cases diagnosed in 2012. The investigation of soy’s role in the prevention of breast cancer arose from the significant differences in breast cancer incidence between American women and Asian women.
