Tourisme et développement durable : le cas du littoral nord de l'État de Bahia

Although it is also an environmental protection area, the northern coast of Bahia (Brazil) is experiencing a rapid growth of tourism, transforming the traditional way of life. The article studies the actions of actors from a triple perspective: economy, environment, and society. Tourism, of which the major element is the complex of Costa do Sauipe, has a strong impact on the local economy and leads to considerable socio-spatial inequalities.Alors qu'il constitue aussi une aire de protection de l'environnement, le littoral nord de Bahia (Brésil) connaît un essor touristique rapide qui bouscule le cadre de vie traditionnel.
