Ralph S. Brown (1913–1998), Simeon E. Baldwin Professor of Law,was a member of the Yale Law School faculty for more thanfifty years, from 1946 until 1998, serving as associate dean from1965 to 1970. A graduate of Yale College (1935) and the YaleLaw School (1939), he served in the U.S. Navy during WorldWar II and as a lawyer in the Office of Price Administration inWashington, D.C. Brown taught and wrote extensively in the field of intellectualproperty, including copyright, defamation, and privacy.
