Insulin resistance in PCOS patients and its relationship with other risk factors (CV disease, diabetes)

Darba pamatojums: PCOS ir viena no biežākajām endokrinopātijām sievietēm reproduktīvajā vecumā. Pēc literatūras datiem, pacientēm ar PCOS pieaug KVS un cukura diabēta attīstības risks. Tāpēc šajā pētījumā tiek analizēts, vai šie dati attiecināmi arī uz Latvijas populāciju. Pētījuma mērķis: salīdzināt KVS attīstības risku PCOS pacientēm ar vispārējo populāciju Latvijas teritorijā. Materiāli un metodes: Retrospektīva pētījuma ietvaros tika analizētas slimības vēstures PCOS pacientēm (E28.2 pēc SSK-10 klasifikācijas) un ne-PCOS pacientēm no Rīgas Austrumu Klīniskās Universitātes slimnīcas „Gaiļezers”. Pacientes tika atlasītas no dažādām nodaļām, izņemot kardioloģijas. PCOS pacientes tika izvēlētas pēc Rotterdam kritērijiem. Kontroles grupa: nejauši tika atlasītas slimības vēstures ar sekojošiem kritērijiem: sievietes, 16-45 gadi, nav PCOS, bet ne no kardioloģijas un endokrinoloģijas nodaļām.
