Study of Methods of Detection for Chemical Oxygen Demand [COD] Measurements

Darba gaitā tika pētītas dihromāta reducēšana par hroma (III) joniem ĶSP noteikšanas mērījumos un tā alternatīvas detektēšanas metodes. Tika iegūtas ĶSP vērtības gan ar standartmetodi, gan arī izmantojot alternatīvas detektēšanas sistēmas, t.i. cietas fāzes titrēšanas paņēmieni, izmantojot silohromu C-120 un eksprestestu pielietošana. Rezultāti, izmantojot eksprestestus, ir apmierinoši. Tie prasa mazāku laiku nekā standartmetodes titrēšana un varētu būt lietoti analīzes veikšanai „lauku” apstākļos. -We studied alternative methods of determination the amount of dichromate reduced to chromium (III) during COD test procedure convenient for on-site analysis. The alternative for instrumental colorimetric analysis are rapid tests, usually test strips. Results obtained by measurements with both types of colorimetric tests were in good correspondence to measurements carried out by standard titration method. Chromium Water Check test stripes are found to be suitable for detection of chromate excess in chemical oxygen demand measurements by dichromate methods
