Ivan Logginovich Goremykin, 1839-1917. High tsarist official, chairman of the council of Ministers. Born 8. XI (27.X, O.S.) 1839 in Novgorod Province. Died 24.XII (11.XII, O.S.) 1917 in Sochi.1895-1899 served as Minister of the Interior; 1906 appointed by Nicholas II as chairman of the Council of Ministers in the place of Count Witte, and served from April 22 to July 8, when he was succeeded by Petr Stolypin; 1914 reappointed again despite senility; 1916 dismissed as chairman of the Council of Ministers; 1917 died in Sochi, in the Caucasus, where he fled during the Revolution, on Dec, 11.Ivan Logginovich Goremykin, 1839-1917.
