THE EFFECT OF LATE AUTOMN CUTTING OF ALFALPA (Medicago sativa L.) ON THE GROWTH OF THE FIRST CUTTING IN THE NEXT YEAR

V poljskem mikroposkusu v Spodnjem Gaberniku (n. v. 258 m, 46º15\u2754.94\u27\u27 N in 15º34\u276.05\u27\u27 E) smo v četrtem letu rasti lucerne (Medicago sativa L.) sorte \u27Soča\u27, ugotavljali vpliv časa zadnje jesenske košnje na rast lucerne prve košnje v naslednjem letu. Poskus je bil zasnovan po metodi naključnega bloka v štirih ponovitvah. Posamezno obravnavanje (1) 24. 9. 2014, (2) 1. 10. 2014, (3) 8. 10. 2014, (4) 15. 10. 2014 in (5) 22. 10. 2014) so predstavljali tedenski zamiki zadnje jesenske košnje. Statistično značilno najvišje pridelke suhe snovi zadnje košnje jeseni 2014 smo dosegli v najkasnejših obravnavanjih košenj (4 in 5). Prav tako v prvi košnji v letu 2015 ugotavljamo trend višjih pridelkov suhe snovi pri kasneje košenih obravnavanjih jeseni 2014, pri čemer nismo zaznali statistično značilnih razlik. Pri merjenju višine posameznih rastlin pred prvo košnjo spomladi 2015 je bil opazen statistično značilen trend višjih rastlin z opravljeno poznejšo zadnjo košnjo v letu 2014. Rezultati poskusa kažejo, da ima rok zadnje košnje jeseni velik vpliv na rast lucerne v prvi košnji naslednjega leta.The field experiment to determine the influence of time on autumn harvest on the growth of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) of first cutting in the next year was carried out in the Spodnji Gabernik (258 m above sea level, 46º15\u2754.94\u27\u27 N and 15º34\u276.05\u27\u27 E), in the fourth year of growth alfalfa varieties \u27Soca\u27. The experiment was designed as a randomized block in four replications. Individual treatment was represented as weekly last autumn cutting (1) 24/9/2014, (2) 01/10/2014, (3) 08/10/2014, (4) 10/15/2014 and (5) 10/22/2014. In autumn 2014, statistically significant higher dry matter yields have been obtained in later harvested treatments (4 and 5). Similarly, in spring 2015 the trend of higher crop dry matter yield were observed in treatments harvested later in the autumn of 2014. However, the differences weren\u27t significant. Before the first mowing in spring 2015, statistically significant trend of higher plants were also detected in treatments with the later cutting in 2014. The result of experiment has shown that timing of last outumn cutting has a big effect on the growth of first cutting in the next year
