The health department will undertake three campaigns today to stamp out the influenza. It willask the City Council to appropriate $35,000 to employ quarantine inspectors and nurses. At the same time agroup of men will be sent out to begin a process of elimination, by which it is hoped that every case of influenzacan be removed from factories, stores and shops.' With the quarantine ordinance in place, the health departmenthas noticed that 'cases are not being promptly reported.' The additional staff (135 inspectors and 50 nurses) willhelp with this issue.
