Seven More Die From Influenza

• The emergency hospital yesterday had less than 50 patients. Twelve were discharged during the day and only 1 patient was admitted• During the epidemic the emergency hospital cared for more than 150 at a time• At the Rivercrest hospital, receiving station for health office statistics only 6 new influenza cases were reported up to 5 p.m. yesterday • No pneumonia cases were reported to Rivercrest • Dr. John B. Anderson, City Health Officer said that, “Sporadic cases will be coming right along and we can expect four or five new cases of influenza daily for some time yet. That has been the experience everywhere.”• Anderson also added that, “Where influenza is in the family it is both unwise and in violation of the law for children to go to school. It makes no difference whether the child has had the influenza or not. People who are sick should stay at home and take care of themselves.”• Rent has been paid at the Lion Hotel, home of the influenza hospital until December 15 and the city will keep its emergency hospital there until that time and longer if necessary to care for new casesNewspaper article
