Various Reduction Reactions With Sodium Borohydride

Geliştirilen bu yöntem sodyum borhidrür ile amonyum karbonatın birlikte kullanımını içermektedir.Geliştirilen bu yöntem ile alkollerine indirgenmeleri gerçekleştirilen aldehitler; 1-Naftaldehit, 2-Naftaldehit, 4-(N,N-Difenilamino)benzaldehit, 3,4-Dibenziloksibenzaldehit, 4-Bifenilkarboksialdehit, 4-Hidroksibenzaldehit, Butiraldehit, 4-Dimetilaminobenzaldehit ve (Benzo-15-crown-5)-4’il formaldehit’tir. Elde edilen bu yeni bileşiklerin yapıları IR, 1H-NMR ve UV-Vis spektral teknikleri kullanılarak karakterize edilmiştir. Alkol yapısında olduğu kanıtlanan ürünler geliştirilen bu yöntem ile yüksek verimlerde ve oldukça kısa reaksiyon sürelerinde elde edilmiştir. Bu yöntem, kullanılan reaktiflerin kolay bulunur ve ucuz olması nedeniyle yüksek miktarlardaki indirgemeler için kullanılabilir.Literatürde bulunan sodyum borhidrür kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen indirgemeler içinde en basit ve pratik olanıdır.In this study it is aimed to find a new method for the reduction of aldehydes to their alcohols in short reaction times with high yields. This new method contains the usage of sodium borohydride with ammonium carbonate. The aldehydes that were reduced to their alcohols with this new method were 1-Naphthaldehyde, 2-Naphthaldehyde, 4-(N,N-Diphenylamino) benzaldehyde, 3,4-Dibenzyloxibenzaldehyde, 4-Biphenyllcarboxy-aldehyde, 4-Hydroxybenzaldehyde, Butyraldehyde, 4-Dimethylaminobenzaldehyde and (Benzo-15-crown-5)-4’yl formaldehyde. The structures of the alcohol products had been proved by the IR, UV-Vis and 1H-NMR spectroscopic methods. An important advantage of the reduction procedure used in this work has been the extremely short reaction times and high yields. This method is convenient for the large amount of aldehyde reductions as the reagents are relatively cheap and can be easily found. It can be easily seen that this method is the easiest and the most practical method of all other aldehyde reduction methods in the literature.Yüksek LisansM.Sc
