Energy Efficient Driving Control In Multi Trains Multi Lines Rail Systems

Tez (Doktora) -- İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2008Thesis (PhD) -- İstanbul Technical University, Institute of Science and Technology, 2008Bu çalışmada, raylı sistem hatlarındaki enerji tüketimini azaltan yöntemlerden biri olan trenlerin boşta gitme noktalarını optimize edilebilmesi için yeni geliştirilmiş bir yöntem sunulmaktadır. Tezde önerilen yaklaşım genetik algoritma (GA), yapay sinir ağları (YSA), ve çok hatlı ve çok trenli sistem simulasyon yazılımının birlikte kullanımıyla gerçekleştirilmiş olan gerçekçi sistem modellemesini içermektedir. Yöntemde, simülasyon yazılımı, YSA için eğitim ve test verilerinin oluşturulmasında kullanılmıştır. Bu veriler, YSA’ların eğitiminde ve bu eğitilmiş YSA’lar ise değişik boşta gitme konumları için yolculuk süresi ve enerji tüketimini tahmin etmede kullanılmıştır. Optimizasyon kısmında hedef yolculuk süresi, hedef enerji tüketimi ve ağırlık faktörleri içeren bir uygunluk fonksiyonu sunulmuş ve YSA’lar bu uygunluk fonksiyonunu hesaplayan optimizasyon prosedürünün hızını arttırmada kullanılmıştır. Uygunluk fonksiyonunu minimize eden en optimum boşta gitme noktalarının belirlenmesinde GA araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Gerek GA’nın, gerekse kullanılan uygunluk fonksiyonunun değişik parametreleri için optimizasyon çalışmalarının tekrar edilmesi işlemi mevcut literatürde bulunan yöntemlerle çok fazla zaman almaktadır. Tezde önerilen yöntemde, eğitilmiş olan YSA’ların kullanılması ile parametre değişiklikleri için tekrarlanan optimizasyon çalışmalarında simülatörün kullanılmasına gerek kalmamakta, dolayısı ile yeni parametreler için optimizasyon sonuçları çok hızlı elde edilebilmektedir. Önerilen yöntemle, Aksaray – Havalimanı metro hattının yaklaşık yarı uzunluğunu (10 km) kapsayan 9 istasyonlu kısmında, trenlerin boşta gitme noktaları başarılı bir şekilde optimize edilebilmiştir.In this thesis, a new, efficient method is presented for optimization of the coasting points for trains along a route, in a global manner. The proposed approach which includes realistic system modeling using multi-train, multi-line simulation software, and application of the artificial neural networks (ANN) and the genetic algorithms (GA). The simulation software used can model regenerative braking, and train performance at low voltages. The simulation software is used for creating training and test data for the ANN. These data are used for training of the ANN. The trained ANN are then used for estimating energy consumption and travel time for new sets of coasting points. Finally, the outputs of the ANN are optimized to find optimal train coasting points. The GA is used for direct search of the optimal solution. For this purpose, a fitness function with a target travel time, a target energy consumption and weighting factors is proposed. The use of the ANN increases the speed of optimization. It takes very long times for finding optimal coasting points for different GA and fitness function parameters with conventional methods available in the literature. However, this only takes minutes with the proposed approach. The proposed method is used for optimizing coasting points for minimum energy consumption for a given travel time of first 10 km section of Istanbul Aksaray-Airport metro line, covering 9 passenger stations. It has been demonstrated that an 16 input ANN can be trained with acceptable error margins for such a system.DoktoraPh
