The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Broome Campus library gallery space played host to Australian, historian, Mrs Noelene Bloomfield’s exhibition entitled ‘A French Australia?’ Almost!’ from September 1 to 11. Mrs Bloomfield is the Research Fellow in European Languages and Studies at The University of Western Australia and has travelled extensively throughout France investigating those who left a lasting footprint on Australia’s history. The exhibition, sponsored by The University of Notre Dame Australia, clearly illustrates how close Australia came to being part of France.
