MANTERA MENGGHUE : POHAN AREN NAGARI ANDELAH KECAMATAN SUNGAYANG KABUPATEN TANAH DATAR BATU SANGKAR SUMATRA BARAT

This journal reviews the local wisdom practice called "Mantra Mengghue" in Nagari Andelah, Sungayang District, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra. Palm trees (Arenga pinnata) play a major role in the lives of local people, not only as a source of coconut sugar, but also as building materials, crafts and traditional medicine. This practice involves traditional ceremonies and spiritual values, regarding palm trees as sacred entities. The multi-functional use of palm trees has a positive impact on the community's economy, while sustainable management maintains ecological balance. Mantara Mengghue in Nagari Andelah is an example of harmony between humans and nature, highlighting the importance of preserving local wisdom as a source of inspiration for sustainable practices in other areas. This article encourages understanding and preservation of traditions and cultural values ??in natural resource management to ensure local heritage remains alive for future generations
