Abstract: The article develops some considerations on the theme of the rules regarding the emotional education of the child and the social world. It is argued that a child who is contained in his own anxieties is able to gradually accept the existence of social rules; what is strictly dependent on the establishment of a sense of reality. Along a discourse that ranges from psychoanalysis and the levels of integration of the superego to the world of school, up to that of the wider collective life, a central thesis is expressed: the rules perform a fundamental function of scaffolding, within the which it becomes possible to live and think, creatively developing one's character in the context of a social environment, which confers the necessary...
