How does Dominican hagiography change between the Great Schism and the Counter-Reform? This article describes the hagiographic production of the Order of Preachers, framing it in the political and religious context of the Late Middle Ages, from the enthusiastic age of the promotion of the cult of Saint Catherine of Siena to the much more ordinary hagiography of the early 16th century. A helpful list of hagiographers who write both in Latin and vernacular languages is provided in the appendix
