The Płock Mazovia region was mainly agricultural area, therefore it lacked bigger industrial plants. The existing ones provided services to the agricultural production and other properties. The landowners often tried to become the owners of distilleries, starch services, dairies, sugar factories, mills, brewieries, sawmills. For instance, well-known sugar factories founded by the Masovian landowners were located in Krasiniec in region Ciechanów and Mała Wieś in region of Płock. The landowners were also involved on creating associations which resulted in opening diaries. For example, Władysław Rutkowski from Krzykos contributed to the foundation of the steam dairy in Płock.
