Hubungan usia dan jenis kelamin dengan kadar malondialdehid dengan pemberian aktivitas fisik: scoping review

Background: Oxidative stress is the careless production of free radicals and antioxidants in the body due to heavy activity. The end result of oxidative stress is MDA (Malondialdehyde) levels.Purpose: To determine the relationship between age and gender and MDA levels by providing physical activity treatment.Method: Search for sources of evidence in this scoping review using 5 data bases, namely Science Direct, Scopus, Springer Link, EBSCOhost, and Pubmed with a period of 2013-2023 in English. The process of selecting sources of evidence in the initial identification of 2045 then goes through a selection process according to feasibility, suitability of the topic and assessment of the final results of three sources of evidence through five stages of selection. Feasible and selected data sources are presented in a charting table.Results: The findings of this scoping review show that there is a relationship between age and gender and MDA levels in human subjects given physical activity.Conclusion: Normal physical activity is beneficial in improving body health, but if done to an extreme or excessive level it can cause an increase in free radicals and reduce antioxidants in the body. So that oxidative stress occurs which produces the final result in the form of MDA levels. Age and gender factors are related to MDA levels in the body. Pendahuluan: Stres oksidatif merupakan ketidak seimbangan antara produksi radikal bebas dan antioksidan yang ada di dalam tubuh akibat aktivitas yang berat. Hasil akhir stress oksidatif adalah kadar MDA (Malondialdehid).Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan usia dan jenis kelamin dengan kadar MDA dengan pemberian perlakuan aktivitas fisik.Metode: Pencarian sumber bukti pada scoping review ini menggunakan 5 data base yaitu Science Direct, Scopus, Springer Link, EBSCOhost, dan Pubmed dengan jangka waktu 2013-2023 yang berbahasa inggris. Proses pemilihan sumber bukti pada identifikasi awal 2045 kemudian melalui proses pemilihan sesuai dengan kelayakan, kesesuain topik dan penilaian hasil akhir sebanyak tiga sumber bukti melalui lima tahap pemilihan. Sumber data yang layak dan terpilih disajikan dalam tabel charting.Hasil: Hasil temuan scoping review ini bahwa ada hubungan antara usia dan jenis kelamin dengan kadar MDA pada subjek manusia yang diberikan aktivitas fisik.Simpulan: Aktivitas fisik yang sewajarnya dilakukan bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan kesehatan tubuh, namun apabila dilakukan secara ekstrem atau berlebihan dapat menyebabkan terjadinya peningkatan radikal bebas dan menurunkan antioksidan di dalam tubuh. Sehingga terjadinya stress oksidatif yang menghasilkan hasil akhir berupa kadar MDA. Faktor usia dan jenis kelamin berhubungan dengan kadar MDA di dalam tubuh.
