This dataset contains individual capture histories for two squirrel species - northern Idaho ground squirrels (Urocitellus brunneus) and Columbian ground squirrels (Urocitellus columbianus) - generated from capture efforts at 10 study sites in Adams County, ID from 2013-2021 (see Morris et al. 2021 for additional study system and methodological details). The capture histories are formatted as .inp files for use in Cormack-Jolly-Seber (capture-mark-recapture) analysis via the RMARK package in R to estimate survival for each species as a function of demographic traits, season, squirrel densities, and weather covariates.
