Borough Hill, Sawston, Cambridgeshire. An Archaeological Watching Brief. Interim Statement

Seventeen Test Pits were excavated though the backfill of a water main which crosses Borough Hill Iron Age Hill fort, a Scheduled Ancient Monument. A Watching Brief with recording and limited excavation has revealed a number of archaeological layers and features within the circuit of the Hill fort as well as parts of the banks and ditches themselves.
