Metabolic diseases are characterized by being chronic and affecting the quality of life of those who suffer from it, if they are not treated timely and periodically. The objective of the review was to characterize the nutritional and anthropometric parameters associated with metabolic diseases. The methodology used for the study was exploratory, descriptive and bibliographic documentary design. An exhaustive review was carried out in databases: Redalyc, Google Scholar, Scielo, Pubmed, Medigrafic, Dialnet and ScienceDirect, in the last 5 years.
