On the Stimulus Effect (Physiological Effect) of the Sympathetic and of the Para-sympathetic Nervous Systems upon the Behavior Formation Process

The studies of the Function of the autonomic nervous system have strikingly progressed recently. Eppinger and Hess advocated the formasion of sympathetic nervous excitation and parasympathetic nervous excitation of the autonomic nervous system. We made clear in our formar study that the sympathetic nerbous stimulation restrained the behavior, and the para-sympathetic our accelerated it. Our problem of the present paper is have the successive function-stimulation of the autonomic nervous system effects upon the behavior formation process. Results : (1) By the successive stimulation of the autonomic nervous system and the parasympathetic one, we could prove Eppinger and Hess'es proposition. (2) Especially by the successive stimulation of the autonomic nervous system, its effect on the behavior was converse according to the time-lengh of the stimulation
