This paper, developed under a hermeneutic-documentary approach, aims to reflect on the existing link between ethics, science and research in the current context. Although it is recognized that it is a topic that is not typical of the 21st century, its concepts, problems and topics addressed do not lose validity, but are a challenge for cross-cutting discussion in social sciences, philosophy, natural sciences, bioethics, among other disciplines.
