Training and development are required for staff to enable them work towards taking the organization to its expected destination. It is against the backdrop of the relative importance of staff training and development in relation to organization effectiveness. Every public servant undergoes one form of training or the other in the course of their jobs. This study is aimed at finding out the effect training has on the productivity of public servant in the National Petroleum Investment Management Services.
