The features of the optical properties of A2B6 single crystals associated with structural disorders and equilibrium of intrinsic point defects are considered. The description is given on the basis of bandanticrossing theory (BAC). Exciton bands of different nature are identified in the edge region of the spectrum. New data have been obtained that indicate that stacking faults are responsible for the spectrum of a localized exciton. The role of temperature in the appearance of exciton luminescence of the base or edge emission has been confirmed experimentally.
