44. Oreocharis flavida Merr. (Gesneriaceae) in Philipp. J. Sci. 21(4): 354. 1922. TYPE:— CHINA. Hainan: Wuzhishan, Wuzhi Shan, alt. 1400 m, 16 December 1921, F. A. McClure 2005 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 8598) (syntype: PNH, destroyed, A 00025113 image!). McClure 8598 was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Oreocharis flavida Merr. (Merrill, 1922a). However, the collecting number on the label of the syntype specimen exists in A is 2005, while its herbarium number is Canton Christian College Herbarium 8598.
