7. Antidesma hainanensis Merr. (Euphorbiaceae) in Philipp. J. Sci. 21(4): 347. 1922. TYPE:— CHINA. Hainan: Wuzhishan, Five Finger Mt. (i.e. Wuzhi Shan), alt. 700 m, 20 December 1921, F. A. McClure 2113 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 8702) (syntype: PNH, destroyed, A 00045626 image!, A 00045627 image!). McClure 8702 was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Antidesma hainanensis Merr. (Merrill, 1922a). However, the collecting number on the label of the syntype specimen (A 00045626) exists in A is 2113, while the herbarium number is Canton Christian College Herbarium 8702.
