This exploratory case study will identify some of the employee relations (ER) challenges for expanding global corporations. The case is based on a United States-based multinational corporation, with transnational practices and policies; and subsidiaries in host countries, Germany and France. The issues will be presented in a conceptual analysis of global employee relations and the influences of communication, existing employee policies, corporate strategies, legislation, employee representation, and trade unions
