Exploring the Role and Importance of Career Counselling in Developing Awareness of Graduate Students' Career Choices during Corvid 19

This study explores the role and importance of career counseling in developing awareness of career choices at the university level. The main focus of the study was to find out the role and importance of career counselling from an Islamic perspective; also, the related aspects regarding the topic were discussed. A description of the research participants, the benefits of career counseling, the challenges that career counseling can overcome, and research method considerations are also included. This study was an empirical examination of qualitative perceptions due to the nature of the problem. After examining the research's purpose, this study was selected for its depth and detail in studying the identified subjects. Data were gathered through focus group interviews to help develop conversational relationships with the students. Ten focus groups were conducted with graduate students of sciences and social sciences. Ten focus groups having 5 students each were selected from various university faculties. Data indicates career counselling at the university level provides good career orientation, connects students with industry, builds confidence, and paves the way for their future. The majority of the students from the focus group data responded that career counseling shows directions about unemployment and give correct incentive. The majority of the students expressed the difficulties and lack of career counseling centers after getting a certain degree. Due to the present Covid-19 Scenario, career counselling is still helpful in developing awareness in students about career services and further impact on their career choices
