Моделювання мовної гри у творах Юрка Іздрика

The study of language game is an urgent problem of modern linguistics because of close attention to the pragmatics of the language units and constantly changing nature of the means of its (language play) realization. The purpose of the analysis is to single out, analyze, and classify means of formation of language game in the works by Ukrainian writer Yurko Izdryk. The purpose raises the following tasks: 1) to establish the features characteristic of language play and postmodern literature, the representative of which the writer is; 2) to single out the cases of language play in writer’s works; 3) to characterize the language means that provide the realization of the main functions of language play; 4) to classify all the means according to the correspondence of each one with a particular language level. The perspective of the research is in the necessity of the analysis of the issues devoted to the means of language game formation on all the language levels taking into account the dynamics of those means. The article is devoted to the term “language play” and the means of its representation in the works by Yurko Izdryk. Language units that provide the realization of language play were singled out and analyzed. The classification of those means was made according to the correspondence between each means and a particular language level
