Noise Detector Alarm Device

Day by day increase in population also increases noise pollution. Noise is the most common health hazards, like distraction, stress, proper hearing problem, and increased blood pressure and many more. So, keeping all this in mind, noise monitoring device is needed and to be installed in places where sound frequency should be low. Hence, a computing instrument is required to monitor noise levels. This research aims to know the noise level monitoring. The data acquisition system comprises of an analog sound sensor V2, Arduino Uno, display LED, and display seven segments. Sound sensor serves to convert sound into electrical quantities. The microphone changes the sound pressure (Pa) to audio voltage (Volt). Noise detection using the sensor is an electret condenser microphone with sensitivity of -56 dB relative to 1 V/µbar. The output from the sound sensor is then connected to Arduino Uno. The measurement outcomes are showed in seven segments. The result show that at 1000 Hz frequency produces a sound pressure of 94 dB. In addition, there are six LED indicators. There are six settings to regulate the LED indicator using Arduino Uno. If the measured value on seven segments is lower than 50 dB, then only LED 1 will turn ON. If the noise level is less than 60 dB, then two LEDs will be turn ON. If the noise level is less than 70 dB, then three LEDs will be turn ON. If the noise level is below 80 dB, then 4 LEDs will be turn ON. If the noise level is less than 90 dB, then there are 5 LEDs will be turn ON (only LED 6 is turn OFF). If the noise level is greater than 90 dB then all LEDs (6 LEDs) are turn ON.
