Force-feedback devices can provide haptic feedback duringinteraction with physical models for sound synthesis. However, low-end devices may not always provide high-fidelitydisplay of the acoustic characteristics of the model. This article describes an enhanced handle for the Phantom Omnicontaining a vibration actuator intended to display the highfrequency portion of the synthesized forces. Measurementsare provided to show that this approach achieves a morefaithful representation of the acoustic signal, overcominglimitations in the device control and dynamics
